NHL Parlay Picks & Predictions for Thursday at +938 odds, 1/4

After just 2 games on the ice last night, the NHL is back in full swing with a loaded 13-game slate of action tonight. It’s not quite the weekend, so there are no afternoon contests, but we have plenty of incredible matchups. We’re not going to waste any time getting things started with our NHL mega parlay either, as we’re targeting one of the first puck-drops of the night.

Along with our NHL parlay picks, be sure to check out all of our NHL predictions for today’s action!

NHL Parlay Picks (1/4)

Sabres 3-way ML (+115)

Stars 3-way ML (+110)

Kings -1.5 (+130)

Parlay odds +938

Buffalo Sabres 3-way ML (+115) over Montreal Canadiens

The first leg of our NHL parlay picks for today features an Atlantic Division rivalry, albeit between two teams in the bottom half of the standings. These are 2 franchises that would love to get back into the Stanley Cup playoffs, and they can’t get there without racking up wins. Despite being on the road, we’re going to be backing Buffalo to grab that much-needed victory. Both teams struggle in the goaltending department, and although the numbers may not jump off the page, we still trust the Sabres offense more than the Habs.

We were quite surprised to see Montreal snap their 3-Game losing skid on Tuesday night, which was also the last Game of their 7-Game road stretch. Coming back home will certainly be welcomed, but we’re expecting a bit of a hangover effect. Youngster Cole Caufield is certainly a stud, but Buffalo has Tage Thompson themselves, but paired with strong veterans around him like Jeff Skinner. It also doesn’t help that Montreal has the 5th-worst home record this year either. While it may not be the marquee matchup of the night, we’re backing the Sabres to get the job done within regulation.

Dallas Stars 3-way ML (+110) over Colorado Avalanche

A much more anticipated contest is the Central Division rivalry taking place in Denver. These are the two teams expected to fight for the division title, and only the Winnipeg Jets are sandwiched between them. The Stars and Avs have had several epic clashes the past couple of seasons, so this may be the boldest selection of our NHL parlay picks.

However, we’re still willing to trust Dallas, even with their star goaltender Jake Oettinger not available. We also expect them to want to avenge their embarrassing loss their last time on the ice, and they’re still 7-2-1 in their last 10 Games. Of course, Colorado is a tough test, but we’ve seen the Avs perform far better at home than on the road. Similarly, the Stars should be pleased with the Game being in Dallas, as they too have one of the better home records in the NHL. With these also being 2 of the top 4 scoring teams in the league, expect a high-scoring Game as well. No matter if we hit the over or not, we’re sticking with the Stars in the 60 minutes.

Los Angeles Kings -1.5 (+130) over Detroit Red Wings

We began our NHL parlay picks with one of the first games of the night, and we’re closing it out with the nightcap. We’ve already mentioned home and road records in our other picks, so it’s only fitting to note that much of the hype around the Kings thus far has been their 13-2-1 road record. While that is certainly impressive, we still trust them to handle Detroit on their home ice. Heading out to the west coast generally causes issues, which is why we almost always see weaker teams like the Anaheim Ducks rack up most of the wins at home.

That’s where the Wings will be over the weekend, but first, they have to get through LA. It’s been their calling card for several seasons now, and the Kings continue to limit the opposition’s chances. They’re allowing the 2nd-fewest shots on goal, which is something that is sure to frustrate guys like Dylan Larkin and Patrick Kane. LA has also been finding great chances, as they average the 3rd-most shots per Game. It’s for good reason that this is one of the most significant money lines of the night, and we’re comfortable taking the Kings on the puck line to wrap up our NHL parlay picks.
