Tottenham 'reach total agreement' to sign Timo Werner
Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement to sign Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig with an option to buy, according to a report. Spurs have been looking to the transfer market for another forward in addition to reinforcements at centre-back, with talks ongoing with Genoa over defender Radu Dragusin. Their interest in Werner emerged on Saturday morning, and David Ornstein of The Athletic now reports a total agree ment is in place for Tottenham to take the Germany international on an initial loan for the rest of the 2023/24 season. The deal contains a purchase clause worth between £13m and £17m. 90min reported earlier this week that Werner was being eyed by Manchester United in their own search for a forward and the Red Devils had made an enquiry to Leipzig, but he will now travel to London to undergo a medical and finalise a move to Spurs.
