Woodruff Continues to Impress

Brandon Woodruff has made two starts since coming back from injury and he has looked good in each of the starts. Woodruff faced off against the Chicago White Sox in his last start and he went 6.1 innings giving up four hits and two runs. The Brewers are averaging 4.27 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.3 runs per Game. The offense is ranked 22nd while the pitching is ranked 11th. On Wednesday the Brewers offense only scored a run against the Dodgers, and they need to find a way to get the offense going here. On Thursday it wasn’t any better as the Brewers failed to score any runs. 

Rangers Offense Looks to Bounce Back

The Rangers sit with a 72-49 record overall but they are looking for their offense to bounce back here. On Wednesday against the Los Angeles Angels, the Rangers offense didn’t score any runs and that led to the 2-0 defeat. In the two previous Games they scored 19 runs total and they need that offense to come back here. The Rangers are averaging 5.71 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.09 runs per Game. The offense is ranked 2nd in the league while the pitching is ranked 6th. Adolis Garcia has hit 30 home runs and driven in 91 RBIs so far this season.

Woodruff looked good in his last start, and the Rangers are coming off a game where their bats really struggled. The Rangers are going to score a run or two here, but Woodruff is going to really limit them. Jackpot: 900-Yeaг-Old Gold Coins, Dating Back to The Cгusades, Found in Isгael

Rare gold coins and a golden earring have been discovered in the ancient Mediterranean port of Caesarea in northern Israel — possibly left and never recovered as Crusaders conquered the area 900 years ago. The Israel Antiquities Authority announced the find on Monday of a small bronze pot holding 24 gold coins and the earring. According to the authority, it was found between two stones in the side of a well in a house in a neighbourhood that dates back some 900 years, during the Abbasid and Fatimid periods. The directors of the excavation, the IAA’s Pet er Gendelman and Mohammed Hatar, said the coins in the cache date to the end of the 11th century. We killed the existing lawn grass by scraping the plants off, and we did some digging to loosen the soil. We covered the garden with 2 to 4 inches of bark mulch from the city to keep out the weeds. The city grinds up branches from tree trimming around power lines. We have kept the garden moist, mostly by rain. The only plants to come up are the peas. Nothing else is growing at all. It has been over two weeks. We are new to gardening, but shouldn’t more than peas be sprouting by now? A: Peas do tend to sprout faster than many other vegetables. Two weeks is a long time to wait, but warm-season vegetable seeds might need a little longer if the soil is cold. I think the mulch might be your problem. Mulch is great at keeping vegetable garden soil evenly damp and preventing some weed seeds from sprouting. But I think it may be keeping your vegetables from sprout...
